A special visit from some familiar faces in the afternoon. It's gonna be fun!
February 13 - "Hearts and Red Day" (yes you must wear red)
Itinerary for the day:

This is an adult only ride till 10:00 and space is limited.
10:00 Beginner's Game Hour -
Listen to music all the time we play - games on horse back and "snitch some treats from the Valentine's tree" then ride an obstacle course.
11:00 Super Cool Obstacle Course Riding -
Team up with a buddy and find the hidden chocolates, plus ride in pairs through obstacles, listening to the tunes and singing right out loud!
12:00 Jump to your Hearts Content (this class goes till 1:30) -
A full jumper course with related distances (counting strides) including bendy line, fans and oxer, narrow jumps, roll backs and even a liver pool! - up to max of 10 jumps ... and fastest to catch cupids heart wins a prize.
1:30 to 3:00 Jumping Pairs -
Sooo Cool - let's build a course, take it a jump at a time, then pair up and go thorough the course with a pal on horse back! Jennifer will rock you with tunes - lots of fun!
Update: We had a blast! Check out some pictures of this great day!
March 20 - "Spring in the Air" Fun Day
Saturday itinerary for Fun day number three!!
Lessons as usual, but for the following time slots something extra is planned.
Everyone is invited to join in on Fun Day special times - it's just $20 (as long as you take your normal lesson through the week - or the fun day time is your second lesson of the week)
It's all about Green! St. Paddy's Day - so wear as much as you can, and the one with most will win a prize!
10:00 - Seek and Find Race: We will give you a bag, to collect the treasure hunt items - race thru the set up course, on horse back (no jumps) and collect the treasures ... it's timed, so go as fast as you can!
The one with most items, in fastest time WINS!
11:00 "Intro Jumper Course":
Go through the set up course of little jumps, poles and obsticles - it's timed! so go quickly .. and then grab the Shamroock to pin the Leprechaun. Fune to do, great to learn a jumper course!
12:00 'Full Jumper course "Teamed" of Pass the Baton': A full course set up with oxers, fan jumps, roll backs and a water jum - timed, fun, exciting and great team spirit! It may just be an hour and a half lesson ... :)
April 10th - "Hop IntoSpring & Bounce Like a Bunny" Fun Day
It's the last one of the year ... our fun day during lesson on Saturday.
Anyone is invited to join in on a lesson.
If you take a lesson through the week and want to come and join in on Fun Day - it's just $20.
(you must take a lesson during the week, or the price is as usual)
Here's what we have planned and the lesson times available:
Riding in teams of 2 - one rider at a time over a line of bounces, followed by their team mate. (About 7 bounce in total - 3 along one side,4 along the other side and an in and out between the 4.)
Then ... one rider must dismount and while their team mate holds their horse they hop into a feed sack, bounce down and around the obstacle, backt to their partner. Switch the sake with partner, and the partner repeats the hop in the sack.
Both then re-mount their horses and complete the remainder of the bounces. Fastest pair to complete bounces and bunny hops win.
This will work for all four lesson groups - we will just modify the jumps/bounces.
10:00 and 11:00 lessons are one hour.
The 12:00 lesson will combine with the 2:00 lesson and make a 2 hour event. We need 5 teams to make that lesson work - so come join in on Saturday and have some fun!
It's all fun - it's fast - and all those around Bring your cameras!
A hopping good time!
Update: We had a great time even if the weather was a little chilly! Check out some pictures of this great day!
March Break Clinics:
March 17th - "Course Design" with Carole Khulberg *
Come learn the elements of good course designing. We will talk about fence construction, how to set the striding for lines, the number of required elements, hunter courses vs jumper courses. Then we will design courses on paper, pick the best hunter and jumper course for our ring - build it, learn to walk it and of course RIDE IT!
Cost only $25. (limited to those members on the show team and have shown 2' or by instructor recommendation only and if you take your normal weekly lesson too. ($50 for those that don't take their weekly lesson) Time 2 pm - 5 pm (come early and dressed to ride) Space will be limited.
Update: It was a gorgeous day and we put all we learned from Carole to work by setting up courses outside for the first time this year. See some of the great pictures.
March Break Clinic Two:
March 16th noon to 4 pm
"Just Horsin'around with Jennifer"
Come spend the whole afternoon with Jennifer in the stables and the horses!
Have a horse of your own for the day.
Learn some basic stable management, theory about the horse, it's parts, it's breeds, clean tack, get ready to ride and then join us in the arena for a fun mounted time. Games, lessons, lectures!
It's all about the horses, and what it's like to own one of your own.
And it's Just $25 for those that take their normal riding lesson during March Break ($50 for those that do not take your regular lesson.)
Update: We had a wonderful time at Jennifer's Clinic. See some pics!
