Riding Lessons for young to old, experienced to beginner

Why Ride?

The term "riding" has many implications. It may range from purely pleasure to extensive study for the purpose of competition. The reasons you may have interest in this activity, we realize could be many:

  • for the team spirit or the desire to compete
  • for the exercise and the outdoor activity
  • for the love of the animal
  • to build self esteem and self confidence... or
  • Just for the fun of it!

Whatever the reason, by far the greatest pleasure and satisfaction can be achieved, if it is learned under the instruction of a certified coach and recognized facility rather than picked up casually, good habits and sound basics are formed in the early stages. When under proper instruction, stands the rider in good safe stead, later in his or her riding goals.

Times Available for Lessons

Obviously, the more frequently lessons are taken the more rapid the progress made. But here at Greyden we do not ask you for lengthy commitments. We ask you to pay as you go - book your next lesson each week around your own schedule that will fit easily with ours. You will learn at your own pace; increasing or decreasing the frequency as you go. Our riding lessons are available 12 months a year - we ride inside our indoor arena in the winter/rainy season and outdoors in our 220' x 220' jumper ring.

One hour lessons take place on:

  • Tuesday to Friday evenings
  • Saturday - all day
  • Adult only lessons available during the day on Tuesday & Wednesday

Types of lessons include:

  • Private or Group Lessons
  • Adult only lessons
  • Moms and Tots lessons

Your First Introductory Lesson is Always FREE!
(Students must be 7 years of age or older to qualify for a free intro.)

Horse Riding Lesson

This first lesson serves as an introductory lesson - to learn our lingo, where everything belongs, how/where to ready your horse and a private one-on-one mounted evaluation riding period between you and your instructor without the worry of trying to "fit in" or wait for your turn to "ask" any questions. This initiation stage lets you get acquainted without the cost, feeling totally comfortable, welcomed & free to ask as many questions as you wish.

Your first lesson should be a fun and exciting time, not intimidating or frustrating. So come have that first lesson and try us. You will love us!

Prices & Rates

Half hour Private: $50
Half hour Semi Private $25
Group hour for 4 or more students: $25 each
(but if only 3 in lesson it will be 45 mins instead of the hour) instead of increasing the price.

Our group lessons are no more than 5 people. If booking for a group / semi lesson & one or more people don't show up we adjust the time rather than increase the price.
