Riding Lessons, Horse Boarding and Horse Camps

 Greyden Equestrian Centre is an instructional only facility that is affordable, warm & friendly... just outside the Village of Erin, Ontario.
We offer:
- Year round riding lessons and part-boarding
- Horse Back Riding Summer Camp Programs
- Indoor arena, Outdoor Dressage ring and Jumper ring.
- We DO NOT offer recreational trail riding.
We are 2 minutes north of Highway 24 on Trafalgar Road on the S.E. corner of side road 17 (emergency #5565) just 20 minutes E. of Guelph (30 min. N. of Mississauga / 20 min. S. of Orangeville). See a map on our Contact Us page.

What We Teach
 We teach all levels... from beginner to advanced and specialize in teaching beginner, novice, and first time riders.
- The basics of horse care, proper handling, grooming and tacking procedures.
- The fundamentals of riding, correct mounting and dismounting techniques, proper position and accurate aids for the utmost control.
- The essential patterns and exercises for both horse and rider.
- The principles of jumping, progressing from basic position over a single jump to mastering the art of riding a course.
- The skills needed to prepare and succeed at showing.

We are not just backyard riders that have learned to ride through friends or other coaches. We pride ourselves, here at Greyden, to say all our instructors have gone through years of courses through the recognized equine educational institutes and all our instructors have the certifications to teach you to ride.
We follow the Equine Canada Rider Level instruction guidelines and the C.H.A. (Association for Horsemanship Safety and Education) prerequisites.
Our Summer Riding Camp Programmes:
Our Goal:
Our focus is teaching young, first time and novice riders the basics of good horsemanship with emphasis on having fun, being creative and learning all about horses.
What we Offer:
 Greyden Equestrian Facility Summer Riding Camps are specifically designed for children between 7 and 14, who are keen on learning to ride safely and learn how to care for the animals.
Each Camp Includes:
- the basics of riding horses safely,
- good horsemanship, good grooming and stable duties,
- care and maintenance of equipment,
- learning conformation and parts of the horse and about breed and colours.
- fun, informative theory lessons
- introduction to feeding and proper horse care
- themed events, games (on horseback) and making crafts
- water sports during lunch hour
Our Facility:
- indoor arena (so we ride even on rainy days!)
- class-room and lounge
- trampoline, water slide, playground
- we have 38 scenic acres for fun exploration
